Sub Problems

Hey All!

I have a system that for the first 6 months worked great.

I have the following in my VW Golf

Head Unit- Alpine CDA-9847

Amp- MRD-M1005 (for sub)

Sub- SWR-1242D

Everything was installed professionally so I'm assuming it was done right.

I was done at A&B Sound in Vancouver (Canada).

However after the first six month of use i've been getting a strange problem that I can't seem to get fixed. The sub started to cut out. If you turn up the volume on the head unit the sub starts to pound again. The first time I took it back to to A&B sound they took the amp out and replaced the power circuit (they said the voice coil in the sub was fine). The problem still happen so the took the sub out (it had a burnt voice coil this time). I finally got a new sub back and after reinstalling everything the same problem is still happening.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Please help I'm desperate for some bass
