Sub positioning

I'm putting a IDMAX 12 with a Memphis Amp 1100w rms in a regular cab F150. What would be the best way to face the sub? Toward the passenger side corner, downfiring, straight out toward the front or back or doesn't really matter?

i'd do 2 IDQ 10s personally...thats to big of a sub unless your either really really short or doing a blow/cut through

Its an 04 so they have a good bit of room behind the seat. They have two little doors that open up to behind the seat.

Another quick question. The Idmax is 8.25" deep. How deep does my box need to be? Can I make it 9" or does the back of the box need to be so many inches away from the magnet? Is their a minimum distance from the back of the box? ID recommends 1.3 cu ft sealed.

I'm facing the same problem. Im putting a sub in my 02 Ext Cab tacoma and was wondering which way to face the sub. Up, down, pass side, driver side, front, or back? Sorry i dont have any info to offer you Cole.

i've been told to face up with the sub on the passenger side. the 04 reg cab has plenty of room behind the front seats. easily enuff for 1 12 ported. dunno bout the reg cab but front firing in my extended cab sucks. I thought about firing back but then I cant see all 18 inches of xxx ****
