well, i got my box back today from being re-sealed by the shop where i bought it from (shitty job eh?) and it seemed as if the installer just threw the subs in there and didnt pay attention to anything when re-wiring, and i got in and drove off and the bass sounded OK, but was hitting wayyyy weaker than before, so i go back, and turns out he only hooked one sub back up. well he hooks the other one up and i go on my way. well when i got home i was doing some listening and it sounded like total crap. shop had closed by now so im stuck. before i get into it let me tell my set up - 2 12w3d4s in a ported box running off a fosgate power 551s (2 channel) bridged. sounds like a pos and neg are reversed, but i tried every possible combo without removing the subs from the box. when he was putting the box back in he soldered the wires he had cut when he removed it to the wires coming from the box, and didnt look like he was paying attention. but also i got to thinking about it and i realized it sounded alot like when i had these subs in sealed boxes that were wayyyy to small for them, and i remember the installer guy that fixed it said he was using rubber silicon to seal and dampen vibration, and i think it might have taken up some of the airspace in the box and now the subs dont have enough space or have different space now (each is in its own chamber and he may have used unsqual ammounts). what do yall think, im ****in mad i want my **** bass back. only reason i ever took the box out is because it started to rattle at a seam so i thought it wouldnt be a big deal to fix it, who knew. any ideas are appreciated.
