sub noise

i just recieved this sub from chad-lilmaniac22 on here..just yesterday and it is making a noise..i have it hooked up to a hifonics bxi1200 free air..a MT 18" dual 2..and the sub is making a noise not at like 15/62 on my cd player but once i turn it up to 29/62 its making a clicking noise everytime the bass hits..and the dustcap is getting very warm off around 900 watts realistically free air also..what is the problem..it just got reconed by him..he shipped it to me and now this happened..waht could be the problem.

when i got an mt18 in the mail i hooked it up free air and it was making funny noises, not sure they are the same as yours though. the coil was detached from the surround on mine, i epoxied it back together through the holes in the basket and it worked fine

im confused as to what youre saying as epoxying through the holes in the basket..could you or someone explain a little better and it sounds like its coming from right under the dustcap

i had to epoxy the spider back to the coil, it looked like it was never glued together when the sub was built.

uhmm, without knowing anything about your woofer, are the voice coil leads flapping against the cone?

My old FI SSD did that, and I put it in the box, and broke it in for about a week with around 400WRMS and took it out to see if the noise was gone, and it wasn't there anymore, could just be excess glue rubbing off.
