i would say knocking but it more like a tapping sound. sounds like something is loudly tapping on the cone when it's played at higher volumes, but not at low volumes. idk what it is.

btw the sub is a 9kv.2. its not mine, its a friends. there is 2 of them in a small sealed box. just put them in saturday. but it really sound like a popsicle stick slappin the cone or something

take the subs out. Possibly the spider has torn or become unattached

ok he took it out and told me that it was still making the sound at low volumes, but it just wasnt as loud

If it is making that sounds at all volumes, definitely get him to check the spider and tinsels. I guess tinsel slap can happen at low volumes if you have REALLLLLYYYYY long tinsels, haha.
