my sub alpine type x only hits rather low and dosent seem to hit on higher but still low frequencys i dont know how to change this or if it is possible the amp i am using is a phoenix gold r15

Lpf (low pass filter) turn it to a higher number. like 80

And make sure headunit doesn't have your sub crossovered.
