sub for zapco 9.0

Alright I don't start these type of threads much.. or hardly ever for that matter.

But we're currently up in the air with what subs to put in my friend's lexus sc400.

the amp is a zapco 9.0 4 ohm version, and we're looking for at least mid 140s spl, and still have decent sq in the lower regions.

the options are:

2 JBL GTi 12's ~ 615 shipped

2 Fi Q's ~ 520 shipped

1 06 15 xxx - unsure on price but i'd guess 800+ shipped

which one and why?

well more people have them, which could explain why they have so many reviews... other subs could be great too, just not as many have them so you don't hear as many good reviews.

just look for the reviews by people who have been around awhile. I'm sure they have owned multiple SQL subs before and give an unbiased review.

i would go with the q's, take a lot of power and sound great. close to the mags but not quite there. still great value overall. One of my neighbors got one and they are lowend monsters.

I am in the exact same situation, with the same amp I was thinking a 12inch XXX though, just for the shock factor

we decided on the 12w7s, jl told us they'd give us a new one for 350 (so new 12w7 for 50 bucks) can't pass that up
