Sub for Techno music?

Trying to decide which sub to get. I've been looking at the Alpine type R subs. Can't decide whether to get the 10" or 12". The type of music I mostly listen to is very fast beat techno (house, hardstyle) I heard 10" subs are really good for techno because it can keep up with the beat. I"m looking to buy only one sub though. What would be the better option be between these two subs for the type of music i listen to? When comparing the 10" and 12" on crutchfield it doesnt look like much of a difference between them.

Don't assume that a sub's size affects a sub's speed.

Anyways, i recommend the Oz Audio Matrix Elite for fast transients at a good price.

What's your budget? I just got an Eclipse SW8200, and about to get a second one. The sub won't ever miss a beat, and sound great doing it.

I listen to mainly Electronica, Breakbeats and Acid Jazz....so I know this routine. For saftey of the end result of your sound, and ease of enclosure design....id suggest a 12" sub in a sealed box with the appropriate amount of polyfill for the application. Doenst have to be a super expensive sub, just a 12" that can take some abuse (like perhaps a Stereo Integrity BM, Massive Audio CW, Alpine R) and leave it at that.
