sub cutting out at low volume.

My sub will not work at low volumes. as soon as it gets above 22 volume it starts hitting at full power. Anyone know what could be the cause of this?

whats your gain set at? are you using bass boost? whats your ground like for your amp? what are your deck setting and amp settings?
