Sub Cutting In N Out

My sub just randomly cut out, I was playing it at a high volume, then it quit playing, then 10 sec. later it came back on, it did this 2 other times on my way home today. Everything has worked without any problems for around 1/2 a year. The only thing I can think of was today was the hottest it's been all year.

is your amp going into protect mode?

I didn't hit any bump, and I haven't changed anything for about 6 months, and the amp was not in protect mode.

either....

a) amp is goin into protect mode

b) the cd is bouncing in the cd player or something and skipping

mines does that too but not quite for 10 secs

Did you actually see the amp and make sure it was on and not in protect mode?

Have you upgraded your electrical system? Have you checked for voltage drops?

I saw that the amp's green power light was on, when I checked it. And my electrical system hasn't changed and done just fine with it for about half a year. It seems to be fine today, I will let you know if it happens again.

I checked my ground and reconnected, speaker, remote, power, rca's, and ground. I also checked the connections from speaker to box. Everything seems to be good again so far

when I first got my sub we wired it wrong and it was going into protect mode. turn it up go to your trunk and look at the amp, I bet it is in protect mode.
