Sub Cutting In N Out

I guess if I could more descpriptively describe it, the sub "hiccups" for a few seconds, but sometimes it will be longer and cut out for probably 5 seconds. It is just the sub that cuts out and when it does it does it at any volume level.

So I re-ran my RCA's, and switched power wire to other side of car. I reconnected them to the HU and the amp. It has been working good for 4 days(no hiccups at all) until today. Do you think it could be bad RCA cables or connection?

this happened to me until i called someone who knew alot and he told me i needed more batteries or something to keep the current the same throughout all the way to the amp. it seemes toi work until i blast throw it up by lil jon for like 2 mins straight then it starts doing it..but this is on a stock alt..id suggest a batt or two..not even an expensive one..if it doesnt fix the problem completely youll at least have plenty of current

To me it just seems like a problem with RCA's. I took them out of the amp and reconnected and that worked for a while then it cut out. I tried it again, but it wouldn't work. My voltage is staying consistent, at the input of the amp is 13.9, and it won't play at any volume. So I am hesitant to believe that it is a power issue. Tomorrow I'll swap out the RCA's.
