sub cuts out

I have a kicker L7 12" 2 ohm with a kicker dx 500 amp. for some reason my sub cuts and back on at random!?!?!?! when it cuts off my amp light is still on and green.. it has room for air so I don't believe its over heating (correct me if im wrong). I have it wired up at 4 ohm... this is my third install and I never had this issue before on my other setups.

can someone please help me with this issue?! I hate not having my bumps. thanks

does the amp have a protect light to let you know its going into protect mode?

yeah the green light would turn red if its in protect mode

gains, bass boost, bass knob........

check earth on amp and the remote wire (may not be making a strong connection at the amp or headunit

thanks guys. it was my remote wire. just had to replace it

Ok I lied...just kidding. So replacing my remote wire only worked for a few days. Back to the same old cutting out ****! !!
