I recently installed a two jbl gt5 12" into a custom box I built for a buddy. Subs are powered by a jbl 1400w amp. After installing everything I noticed that if I turn the deck up to about 30 and the remote bass boost up to about half way everything would cut out. The lights shut off on the amp, and it wasn't going into protect. So I disconnected one sub and was able to turn everything all the way up and it sounded really good. So I connected and disconnected the sub that sounded good. Once again, everything would cut at about 30. I pulled out the sub that kept cutting and noticed that the little piece of plastic that holds the terminals was broke and the negative lead was just kind of flopping around. Do you think this is my problem or could it he something else?
