Sub cuts out a bit but is releaved when throttle is given. How can i cure this problom So i wont have to give it throttle every time it cuts off. I have the Big 3 upgrade done using 1/0 OF competition tsunami power wire, 1 red top optima battery under the hood. Stock alternator. All grounds are properly bolteed. Full contact with metal. Is there any way i can cure this without throwing a battery to the trunk??

2001 cheverlet blazer 4.3L Stock alternator oh and i have a other cadence exinith amp 120.2 and this amp is for my front tstage components Things went great when i adjusted my gain with the dmm at 38.7 volts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here R my voltage readings as of 2 days ago. Idle with music off 14.16 volts

And When i was playing the song BME click by lil john at volume 46 out of 62 the voltage dropped to 12.39 and the sub was cutting out a bit but was realived after i gave it throttle to approx 2500RPM's

Here are the knobs of my amp Set to 38.7 volts to power my 12" L7 DVC 4ohm wired to parallel

Here are the settings of my headunit, Oh and i left my preset equalizer set on flat before i made these adjustments to the stereo.

Well thats it for my results. My only concerns now is the fact that I have to give it some gas when im playing music when the car is at idle so it cannot cut off. Is this an easy fix?? Or how do i go about that

are you testing voltage at ur amp? as long as ur staying above 12volts ur amp should NOT go into protect.

ur car can skip going down the road running @ 12-12.5 volts because your fuel pump dosent get enough juice and build up enough pressure and ur coil pack voltage is low too...

Test were done on my amp and if i hold the gas down it will be good until i let go it starts cutting off again... according to my local ayutpoparts they tested my alt and said that it was working properly.

yes your alt is prolly working just fine but it is a stock alt just think about what is happening man you have something in your vehicle that is not supposed to be there your alt is designed to put enough power for what it came with which is not that amp since it wasnt built to power your amp it can not provide enough current to power it properly at idle

OK, What alternator should i look into before i go of and spend my money on the wrong alternator. Keep in mind i will no longer upgrade my cr audio systm since what i have is what i want so if i can find a decent sized alternator for less money that would be great

good stuff aint cheap and cheap stuff aint good but with that said im a fan of excessive amperage alts

ur voltage must me dropping below 12v. get another battery for the rear,0gauge run to that battery with a fuse at eather end of the wire and the big 3 and you should be fine for burps but music it will suffer after a couple mins...

It could just be the power supply inside the amp being sick, such as a cap that's failing. Id try another amp before I went thru the expense and hassle of another alternator. Just buy a flea market amp, just to test with.

The kicker amp isnt the only amp i have inside the vieichle, i have a cadence exineth amp for my front stage components. What do you meen by flea market amp?? My amp should be good, i bought it brand new about a year and a half ago.

i got some good news and some bad news... So i tried my brothers sony explod 1000watt amp on my car and everthing works wel. No sound cutting off and the lowest the voltage drops to is 13.16 and i tried my 08 ZX 750.1 kickier mono amp on his car which is a honda civic and the sub cutting out problom remains. This is with the gain at 50%. The bad news is, its seems to be my amp at fault to be the problom and i no longer have warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif But i talked to the kicker representative and to diognose the amp is 25 bucks and repairs are normally from 40-90 $ and if i get my amp repairreed whith them they will not charge me the diognose fee and only the repair fee. While i was chekin out my amp to remove it from my car to put it on my brothers car. I noticed this...
