Sub choices for new Car im getting.

I ordered a 2008 Scion TC and trying to decide what to put in it.

This is what ive had in other cars.

1. RX-7-- 2 Kicker 18s 1000w each omg lound as hell but no SQ

2. Geo Storm 3-JLw6s back in the 90s. Made it all the way to IASCA finals in Dallas. NO SPL all SQ

3. Focus ZX3--- 3 JL 12s in a wedge. Cheap and handy. Mid line bass and crappy SQ

Now for the new car i want a cross between car one and two.

Im going with Boston SPZ components and trying to decide on subs.

So far ive been looking at the Boston SPG555 and JL 13W7.

Ive read some posts about TC sound and DD subs, but have never heard any and they take a huge *** box. Im looking at 2 subs or 1-15 for the lows.

Whatever i get will prob be run by Alpine PDX amps.

Any ideas.

i would say get the 13w7 its a great sub all around if you have the money for it

I agree. W6 and W7 will give you a great balance of both fairly solid SPL and great SQ. From all accounts I've read, the W6 outperforms the W7 in SQ, while being very close to it in SPL.

if you can get a good deal on the boston, go for it. supposed to be an excellent sub. i'd get it over the JL's. If nothing else its something different. Most the people who have used it say they think its a better driver than the W7. Its all subjective though.

get a JBL GTI subwoofer in whatever size you like. they are said to get loud and have excellent SQ. they also don't need a lot of power either
