Sub/Amp Matching Advice

Hifonicsis not good. You don't need 2 amps. Class D or A/B don't matter. Get the Zapco. Enjoy. If one day you want more power then get another one.
Hey so I've been looking at the Zapco as well.. is this stable at 1 OHM? I didn't see it reading the specs. When it advertises 720 watts rms is it just referring to total wattage of all speakers? Sorry for the noob questions. The speaker for my sub I'm planning on getting it 750 rms.

Not 1ohm on the sub channel. Just get a dual 4. RMS is not a must have number. It's the amount of power a speaker can take on a sine wave over long period of time. Don't get caught up in it.

You are looking at amps that don't do what they say. The Zapco does do what it says.

Well ****. I spent all this time designing a subbox for the IDQ 12 v4 speakers that are rated at 750 watts and didn't really look at amps.. I want a good quality one.. Back to the drawing board!

Okay screw it. I guess I'm going to save up and splurge a bit.

Rockford Fosgate Prime 750 Watt Class D 1 channel Amplifier

-Paired with IDQ 12s v4

Rockford R300X4 Prime 4-Channel Amplifier

-Paired with IDK yet!! Some nice component speakers..

Rockford seems to have good reviews and reliable.. What yall think.. Thanks again.

I don't know anything about the new RF stuff other than the 3Sixty.3, but it used to be good stuff. I'd put old school RF in the top 2nd tier or lower 1st tier stuff. It was better than Kenwood, Pioneer, etc.. but not as good as Zapco, Xtant, Macintosh back in the day.

I would be all over the Zapco except I am pretty set on getting an IDQ12v4 for my sub and it requires around 750 rms.. spent a lot of time designing a sub box I'm happy with.
