Stinger Voltage Display Trick?

Okay... this is really pissing me off...

I have the little blue stinger voltage meter.... I have it reading @ the amp and it is inaccurate as crap.

wI don't understand it... I measure witht he DMM and it is a strong 14.43 volts- Where the Stinger display reads...

So here's the situation... The Stinger thing comes with a little knob inside of it that you can turn to adjust the voltage reading to accuracy. BUT I have the thing maxed out and it is reading my 14.4 volts as 13.9 - 14.0 if im lucky. This is really irritating me and I'm OCD.

I know i can just add .4 to every reading it gives me, but I would much rather have it to where it reads correctly like its suppost to.

So does anyone know a way I can get it to read accurately? Is there a way to just get it to read like a ****ing DMM... I mean sh!t how hard can it be.

If there is noway around this, I strongly suggest to not buy this stupid display for 28 bucks like I did.... What a waste for something that doesn't work right

humm all the one's i have ever used read the voltage perfectly after i adjust them...

you sure ur's isnt bad out of the box???

i have a dc power supply here at work with a voltage out put on it. so before i install anything like that i test it first....

mine reads it perfectly. it just has a 3 wire hook up. ones ground, ones the power it reads, the other should be a turn on. when hooked up backwords it was trying to read the voltage through the remote turn on wire which was a little low

I have one distribution block that is 1/0 in and 2 4 awg out..... and I dont think it has a ground, just power inputs from my battery....its on the main 1/0 in my car.

It always reads 14.0-14.2 or so maybe high 13's when im crankin it.

I have a 1/0 fuse holder thats digital and it reads as high as 14.7 sometimes... usually around 14.4 though.

Have you compared with another DMM? Maybe your battery is weak in the DMM causing a bad reading.....If two meters dont read the same, I'd get another to see which is right, If all three are different......walk away and never speak of this again.........
