Well i have lived with him for about 2.5years now. He has always asked me to do jobs around the house and ill do them with a smile on my face even though he tends to sit on his *** a whole lot. Whenever i ask a quesiton or bring up a good point he shoots it down and thinks or acts like i am a ten year old boy.

I was working on my system last night. Not extremely loud, but i was testing mid-bass in my doors with some Too Short. Went inside and went bed. Today i wake up in a good mood head downstairs to eat some breakfast and the first thing i get is

Mom- "Tyler Tray moved your car this morning." I thinknothing of it...

Tray- "that music in there is vulgar and i WILL NOT have that in my house!!"

Me-" I understand sir i appologize that you had to listen to it,but i dont think much of it considering it is in MY car and you NEVER have to listen to it. I do not entertain people with this music and do not force you to listen to what is in my car."

Tray- "YOU ARE DEFENDING THAT??? YOU LIKE THAT MUSIC?!!!"

Me- " yes sir, i bought that cd actually meaning i supported that man whom you already hate so much. I feel that if i were to walk into your bed room and hit play on the DVD player and you were watching a ***** and i made this big of a deal about it you might defend it to and think i wasnt in the right place to say anything about it. The music is very close to ***** and i bet you would defend it."

Tray- " You have little smart *** comments and if your mother wasnt here i would have already ripped up that CD this is MY house!!"

I probably wouldnt have such a big problem with these conversations we have, but they tend to be right when i wake up so i have a shitty morning often. I do more chores than he does and clean up after myself more than he does. If i forget to do one little thing i get yelled at the morning after. Its like give me a break old man go fly your **** plane.

It sounds like your part of a unfortunate situation. Your step dad is obviously a peckerhead who is hung up on picking on you. I can see his point about the music be he seems a bit militant about being right. You seem like you are a very respectful young man , although IMO step dad doesn't deserve your respect. He seems to be a weasel in his day to day life and uses you as a strees outlet.

Best thing to do is make plans to move out as soon as your able. I have a 14 year old stepson and I can relate to your situation. Me and him dont always see eye to eye, but I dont make a point to pick on him. I correct him when he needs it and always try to treat him accordingly.

Hang in there.

Maybe he is looking for a place to stay.
That would be WTB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

it was stated but he couldnt believe i have the audacity to defend it. I said its older style rap Tray he has great low notes.... im not writing down the lyrics and singing them or anything
Well if he stays on you about it, just tell him to back off. Nothing less nothing more. Provided your respectful your mother will be on your side most likely.

That or just start sagging, wear a dew rag and sideways hat with a white tee and start rapping when around him.

Kill him in his sleep, it's your only option.
Sorry, if I'm taking this the wrong way, joke right, but come man. We have to watch what we say. How would you feel if you turned on the news tomorrow and see this kid in hand cuffs for the rest of his life. Forgive me for running fun, but could happen. OP please disregard this comment.

Oh you must be new around here.

The guy is obviously an a$$, just avoid him as much as possible. If it's such a big deal go tune down the street. Maybe after he sees all the work you put into it he may respect it, but until then he's still a cocky a$$hole.

One last comment, for the OP, I have been in your similiar situation. Now that I'm 29, I often think about the things superiors said to me that I thougt was just far fetched and meddling at the time, but now have a better understanding and honestly wish I had just tried doing things their way for a change. Also, being a step dad now, he has his work cut out for him. Sorry, not taking his side, just wanted to shed some light on a very difficult but rewarding job, being a step dad. Hope this helps Bro, keep your head up!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It was a joke, but I'd be laughing my *** of if someone was stupid/weak enough to follow a suggestion(and an extreme one at that) about their personal life made on a car audio forum.
