SQL woofer

I don't need to increase loudness. I just want it to sound better. It's a 1.75 cubes tuned at 34hz. Bonus for it to be louder. I'm fine with the output. The lpf is set at 80hz. The speakers I will be running are some older cdt speakers and tweeters.

tuned too low for any rock with these these woofers IMO they do a lot better with 37-40hz, still, they have a big roll off at the upper frequencies so rock response is pretty limited. The Icon or Xcon would be great along with a DSS ethos they hit lows and have great punch up top even when tuned low at 30hz.

Yupp. My box is at 32 hz. I have my LPF at like 125-150(i dont remember) with a 36db roll. It hits midbass notes all day long. Icon ftw

EQ would be part of it. People can knock on soundqubed all they want. For every person knocking on it, there will be 10 saying they're awesome woofers. I mean cscstang himself runs a soundqubed woofer. My friend has an HDS312 in a custom box built for it in a 2007 mustang running close to 2kW on it. It sounds amazing. You HAVE to have good power for good SQ, you'll also notice it playing tighter and faster. Wish you lived closer, I'd be happy to have my friend demo his car for you. Don't jump the gun and start buying everything. NoLoud4U himself has like 1.5kW on his 10" and it's a setup geared toward sound quality. I also have a similar setup, but with 2 12s and you can see what I'm running on them.
If you're getting a new amp anyway, wait for that to get in first. Aim for something around 1.7kW on that thing, it'll do wonders for you. Once you get it, adjust the EQ. I was in the same boat as you when I ran soundqubed q1-1200d on my woofers and I hated the sound. What happened when I put an amp that's almost twice the power? it played tighter, faster, and dug much lower.

I don't care what anyone says, SQ woofers are great, though may not be for everyone - as with most things. You've got a great woofer, I'm sure you have the right box, you just need more power and probably some light EQ.
Well the adjustment to eq definitely helped. Still not exactly how I want it but better. I'm in the process of buying that ed nine.1 in the classifieds. So that should hopefully fix the entire issue.

That amp does ~1.3kW? So wait...do you have your sub wired to 1 ohm or 2? That would be important to know before you buy the amp.
It's wired to 2 ohms. My amp isn't stable to 1 ohm. It's a d4. Sq didn't have the dual 2 when I ordered it so I just kept the same amp. The nine.1 is rated to do 900 at 2 ohm at 12v, so it should around 1000 around 14 I would assume. Which is higher than my current amp.

So I vote 100% against buying that amp. If you're going to spend money to buy something, you should get more power than that. Like I said earlier, aim around 1.7kW.

There aren't that many amps that do that at 2 ohms...

Its the properties of the sub. If it cant play the 60-100hz range, its still not going to play. With more power, you'll see a slight improvement but nothing satisfying. Added/boost in EQ will cause clipping at loud volumes. You'll need a very particular box design to reach that because these woofers model pretty peaky on winisd. An Aperiodic chamber enclosure was recommended on diyma for some of the soundqubed lines if you want to go sq with it.
