SQ comp comming, I have questions

I have my reasons. I would like to see what it is all about. Sure I could get louder, but why. This is my only car at the moment. I kinda want to clean up the sound and try my luck at a few sq shows. I dont have anyone around who is into this stuff like i am. but I cant wait to check out this show. I hope to do good.

I had thought about doing a SQ setup in my Saleen....but someone told me it was hard to get loud in a mustang trunk because it is so small....so i said "what the hell...." Today I did a 151.3 in 0-1000 trunk class....with a single 12.....I had two vehicles beat me...in loudness...besides my Wrangler which dominated SPL for the day...both by less than 1 db.....One had a wall of 6 Kicker L7 15's powered by a Kicker 10,000 warhorse in a decked out H2 ...the other had a Wall of eight 15's...with a lot of power in a snug top extended cab S-10 ...I find it pretty neat to be nearly as loud as walls of 15's with a single 12....on less power....my next creation will be even louder...neither set up that ran did better than a 152 ... if I had kept this setup below I'd beat them.....but it was 1001-up trunk class and I wanted the state record in 0-1000 trunk class

I will, I only have my camera phone = shitty pics. I plan to post the whole thing at once when it is done. I get off at 6am, Then I will be waking up the neighbors with the sound of my power sander and jigsaw.

It's just too bad that there aren't as many SQ comps as there are SPL comps. Most people only into SPL have no clue what it takes to compete in SQ. Especially when SQ also depends on install quality. It's a shame that more people aren't into SQ seeing how most of us are driven in this industry and hobby by our love of MUSIC. NOT just noise.

I happen to love listening to music. I used to get baked and just sit in my car and listen to classic rock , Smooth jazz, R&B, Music is my passion, SPL is my addiction.

Just build the setup to the music and sound that you love to listen too....the hell with some critics ear....

i think im going to put another couple hundred hours into my install and tuning before i compete in sq. and then after i compete the first time probably another couple hundred to get it just right.
