Speaker with road noise!!!

I had 2 speakers running of a 2 channel amp and it sounded great!! i unhooked it for a little, and hooked it back up, and now the right side speaker has the **** whining noise coming from it and it gets louder with RPM increase...!!! they worked perfect before, and now it makes this noise!!! the other side sounds great, but this is annoying!!! how do i fix it? whats the problem?? is it ground somewhere?? (i didnt touch the ground, and it worked before!!) HELP!! - thanks

If it worked fine before it's probably just your ground. You probably hit the gas or brakes too hard and loosened something on the amp.

Unplug the RCA's from the amp and see if the noise is still there or not when the RCA's aren't hooked up.

when i unplug the rca's the noise stops....i tried a diff. set of rca's too to see if that would help and it didnt....the noise is still there....but when i unplug them it stops...what next??

The ground on your Head Unit is bad, you need to clean it off and find a new place to put it.

or you could have a bad RCA jack on the HU. If thats the case, start looking for a new HU.

Grounds *can* go bad, oxidation, can become loose... now try it out.

would it be the ground from the headunit or the amp?? and if its the headunit....where the hell is the ground at?? there is about 2000 wires coming from the headunit, and i know its the black one, but where do they normally ground it???

yes, i know its on the frame....i know thats how ground works....but there is a lot of steel on my truck....where would it be??? i have no idea where the wire goes after it goes under the dash.....

just cut the black wire and put it on the frame, who cares where it is now.

so i re-grounded my headunit and the problem is still there....it cant be ground b/c it is only 1 of the 2 channels that i have a problem with.....so would it be the headunit outputs?? or the amp inputs??? or what??? any way to check??? thanks

sure... switch the rca's on the amp... like from left 2 right... and right to left... and then turn it on... still the same speaker? or did it switch? if it's switched then it's the rca's... or the output from the head unit... if it's still the same channel... then it's the output from the amp

maybe you stressed out your alt and now it's making your speakers whine? Don't really know, thats just my drunken guess.
