speaker vs mounting depth question

I was wondering about which speakers all of the audio fanatics (and I say that in a good way) on this board would recommend to me. The car has a mounting depth of 1.5" give or take a few mm; if this sounds familiar, then your probably familiar with wrx's For some reason unbeknown to me, Subaru designed the spaces in the door to be freakishly thin; so my question is: who makes the best speakers (be they components or coax) in your opinion to fit that mounting depth.

Well I am pretty **** sure Morel makes some thin componets and in my oppinon are the best sounding speakers I've heard. Specially their newest tweeter line.

check out http://www.crutchfield.com for some of theier plate speakers.....wouldnt recomend buying from them tho
