Speaker Life Question

I browse this site occasionly & get some really great info & advice from various posters.

I have a question for you guys \ gals.

I have a 97-F150 Standard Cab & had the speakers,head unit, & amp replaced back in 99. [ Pioneer speakers, JVC Headunit, Jensen Amp, 12 INCH Sub setup ]

After these years ,the systems still pumps nice, but I'm wondering, how long should expect to get a good sound before needing to replace the amp & sepakers ?

It all depends on the quality of the equipment. Properly used, it should last for 20 yrs or more. Now to answer your second question, how often do people here upgrade is a different story. Some constantly upgrade as money will allow, hopefully Im done till I get another truck in around 4-5 yrs.

Yeah, it hard , I have four cars counting my wife's car.

Maybe this summer, I will do a small upgrade on the truck.
