Speaker Level Input (newbie question)

Sound Domain lists the HiFonics Zeus ZX6400 as not having speaker level inputs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Does that mean I can't take the wires from the OEM HU that go to the stock amp and connect it to the Zeus amp instead? Would I need something in between?

I can't replace the HU, unfortunately.

Car is 2004 Acura TSX NAVI.

If you dont have rca outputs on your hu then and the amp does not have speaker level inputs then you would need a "high input - low output converter" I really dont like these or using speaker outputs on my amp for that matter but it would get you by until you could get a aftermarket hu with rcas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your OEM H/U probably has differential outputs so you need to find out if the Zeus has differential inputs. If so, then you do not need a line output converter. It would just be overkill.

I just installed a JL Audio amp in my car which has a Bose h/u. I did not have to install a line output converter like the VEN4 because the JL amp has differntial inputs (designed that way so that it is compatible with OEM h/u's).

I simply cut the plug off the end of the amp and patched in some rca's. Then I set the amp to low level input and ran a voltage test to set the input sensitivity.

Thank you!
