Speaker \ Head Unit Troulbeshooting

I have a JVC Head Unit & this morning when I turn my truck on the radio came on ,then there was no sound from the speakers, just a slight humming sound.

Could this be a speaker connection issue since the head unit is on,but no sound through the speakers.

I was in a rush to get to work ,so I haven't checked connestions as of yet.

I would appreciate you guys input.

Probably just a loose connection somewhere. Are these stock speakers or amped speakers? If amped then check your remote line.

Thanks for your reply, they are amped speakers.

Since the unit is on & lit up, I figure it must be a connection probelm somewhere in the lines.

If you don't mind me asking ; what is the remote line ?

Thanks for everyones input.

I took a closer look at it on Friday & noticed the old burnt smell.

Took it in to the shop today ,tested it & confirmed it was gone.

I have had it since 98 & it was just time.

Now I am pushing an Alpine Amp & quite happy with the sound.
