I have a civic with two twelves in the trunk they are currently faced into the cab, but I've heard they'd be louder if I'd face them towards the back of the trunk. I am about apply some second skin to my trunk and I was wondering which direction I needed to face the 12's when I put them back in.

I just did the same thing, except I faced mine inward from being towards the end of my car. I could not tell a differance. Then again I allowed about 8 inches of space from the front of the subs to the back of the seat. Just dont bump too loud down there in Camden, god knows the law wouldnt have it there lol

why dont you just simply turn the box around and see if it sounds better

could simply turn the box around....but if u want to compare the two, try firing your subs into the cabin of the car and COMPLETELY seal off everything. May notice a difference may not. For most people though, if they just fire into the cabin without sealing it off, it will sound much better/louder firing at the trunk. But if taken the time to properly seal everything off, you may get a better result.
