speaker box for punch hx2

I drive a 93 dodge intreped the sub I'm using is a 12in punch hx2 with a punch 2ch rf2002 amp the speakr is in a junk box that was free. What I need to know is what type of box should I be using for this speaker and my car.

custom built ported. no prefab. what do you want spl or sq? what type of music you listen to?

go with what the "jackass" says... I am still running 2 hx2's in slot ported that was prefab and it just doesn't sound right (because I believe I am choking it with about 1.2" per sub at best).

Get the right sized box, I know I need to...

I listen to almost everything but most of the time the is rap in my cd player. The main thing i want to know is plans to build the best performing box i can build for this set up right now it sounds good but i know that the box i'm using is junk and that is a big factor and a better box would sound alot better .So if anyone can help that would be good????
