Speaker Baffles... Worth a try?

What do you all think about speaker baffles, just a bunch of bs or are they for real?

Do they make that big of a differance or what? Better bass response? And/Or just make the speakers sound better over all....

what do YOU think??

maybe they would improve response on some drivers but most are I.B. they will definetly keep water/dirt out but they are also an enclosure as well. seems like a cheap fix for a bigger problem to me.

I use them on rear fill. I am afraid pressure in trunk may bust them.

I use them in my doors to keep water off the driver,I just cut out the back

3 inches of something that only stays hard half the time isn't very practical anyway

Use them to protect the speaker and just cut the back and/or bottom out of them.
