i gave up on mac when mac gave up on RISC. Now theyre not much more than a dell with a different gui. 95% of users are unable to tell that its a unix based OS and it all comes down to the software that is catered to macs nowadays. Any real user boots into some distro of Linux and scoffs at all other OS's. I tribooted before i got my SSD, and only dualboot with Ubuntu 32 bit (more software available on the 32 bit distro) and 7ult x64

Says the guy running a amd. Intel xeon/i series are much superior in technology and speed. AMD is for noobz low on cash.

Macs. Pay more upfront but they last for years.

Please... You want to talk even more, but you dont even notice mac is just another intel. Windows (PC)/linux/mac running an intel board all are the same.....

Ok back on topic... Let's take the Soundqubed's top of the line amp and compare it to a pair of Hifonic's top of the line amp strapped. Which would be the better buy and why?

The Q1-3500 (back ordered) goes for about $600 when it's on sale. I don't know which hifonics amp produces the most but I'm guessing it's the BE2500. When I look it's around $350 new.

AMD isnt for newbs, and my rig has about $1600 in it... processor cost diff between equivalent intel was about $80. The 8350 was higher rated by MANY websites for that benchmark level... i wasnt price shopping, i was capability shopping when i got it

they have those old atlas, colossus, and idk what else that are HUGE and do big numbers. but you can't compare a BE2500 to the q3500 a BE2500 or BE2100 would've been a better match up against the sq2200

Oh I didn't know about those old amps.. Yea I know the BE amp would've been a good match for the sq2200 but I'm saying if you were to buy two of the BE amps and compare it to one Q1-3500. Considering hifonics overrates their stuff alittle, the Q1-3500 seems like a better buy for the money. Now since you mentioned the other amps, Soundqubed still looks like the better buy only when it's on sale.

I do not know why you think that about AMD ? Sure Intel performance might be better on their higher lines but I would hope so for the price you pay. I know many people running Intel rigs and have said the next build they do will be AMD just because the price to performance ratio is unbeatable. There are many good bench test of AMD products and really the only place I see Intel being superior is when you are going to drop 2 to 3k in a build. There is nothing wrong with AMD and I am not nut-hugging because sure if I had 3k to spend on a build for a pc there is no reason why I would not go with Intel

back to sq yea on sale SQ is a good buy but regular price? ehhhhh if your planning on running a q3500 you have (or should) have a decent electrical system, so 2 BE2500s together i think will do the same as the q3500 for $300 cheaper but its more practical to just run one amp
