Soundqubed HDC3 break in period ? (not very loud currently)

I didnt expect something so dumb to come from a member that im assuming has alot of knowledge in this aspect since youve been around so long... How can his elecrical not handle a 1ohm load? Hes only running a 1200. Im running a 1200 and a 4-90, on stock electrical, 4 gauge and no big three and i dont dip belpw 13.5 on my heaviest bass hits.
That Honda cannot handle a 1 Ohm load mono on stock electrical due to the fact that the electrical charging system shuts down on current draw to save fuel,It drops in voltage while driving to conserve fuel, ELD. All Hondas have this feature. You could be driving on the side streets banging like hell, and then all the sudden the amps would either fade out or shut down and in some cases ruin an amp.Im not sure exactly what years that the ELD was placed on the Hondas electrical systems, but I know it wasnt on my 90/91/93 Integras but it certainly is on my 99 CRV and up due to Keep-Hope-Alive that had a voltage issue and found out what it was and found a way to by-pass the issue in order to maintain voltage without a sudden drop by doing the bypass.Ill see if it is still in my inbox somewhere for all to read. Hondas in general have this ELD systematic for fuel consumption in which others do not.Your Chevy doesnt have it,my chevy doesnt have it, but my 99 Honda CRV certainly does.

I have placed FACTS for you sir to read above^^^^ Do not ever underestimate on other individuals knowledge that has been in the car audio world for quite sometime sir.It is quite impolite

yea, I like Martin too, he's a really good guy, but you jumped the gun on this one Martin .....He is very correct on the Honda Electronic Load Detector issue ....it's a problem, and it is part of necessary electrical upgrades on those vehicles, as I was saying earlier .....

This is where an experienced installer shines ....

I was posting a link to it at the same time you were ...lol ...

No man i meant that because its at 1 ohm and he has big voltage drop isnt going to make and hdc and sq1200 lower in output than a kicker. Yea the hole voltage issue might have something to do but to an extent only and i REALLY doubt a voltage drop from 14.4 to even 9v will have such a significant lowering in output. Maybe on a meter yes but to an ear meter no. Ive heard plenty and even on my teuck i experienced MAJOR voltage drop just for kicks i hooked up my old sq2200 on stock electrical and i dipped into 9.5. Then i installed my big 3, secomd agm, and 320A 6 phase singer alt. and i literally heard NO difference. Sure maybe the amp and truck felt a difference but audibly nope. Same thing.

I didnt get any louder doing all my electrical upgrades, but i was loud for waaaay longer. On weak electricals, output does drop drastically when amps heat up and you can audibly hear it. However, I'm saying op has a box/gain/head unit setting issue.

Same thing.[/quoteIt will if he doesnt have the proper current draw for supply and demand??Voltage has everything to do with supply and demand sir.It takes power to make power..Correct??If you have insufficient supply, expect insufficient demand..Correct? a 14.4v rated amp @75 rms per ch will see the same rms rating when you are at 12v??Is that what you are saying in a nutshell?I can certainly tell from riding in the CRV by ear when voltage dropped, and most deff when she shut down and came back on when I hit back up in the 13s.All amps today are rated for 14.4 to achieve the rms rating unless specified in order to achieve the rms output.I tried running @1ohm in the Honda, on stock with two batts and the eld bypass and still wouldnt maintain the current draw needed to maintain above 12.6 on the lows.Plain and simple.. Hondas electrical system blow unless you dothe bypass and some serious upgrades.

Yes you need power to make power but 1200w? Nope, it will NOT be audibly different if he has 9v or 14.4v. this honda eld issue is not the problem in his system not performing how he thiught it would

Also what does running at 1ohm have to do anything? Your sayong an amp that does 1200@1 has more current pull than an amp that does 1200@2 or 1200@4???

Even with an old school Autotek BTS 7150 bridged @2ohms at approx. 700 rms I had issues in the Honda, and I can tell you from my experience..I did experience audible difference when voltage dropped, and shut down till I did some work on my electrical. The ELD is another issue that goes along with the supply that is needed to run the amp properly to get some power output from it.Hope like hell he doesnt cook that amp on that electrical. But Ill agree..This isnt the main issue that he is having with this set up.Its a sore thought out system/thrown in from one vehicle to the next.

Id deff like to see some pics, and know exactly what is all really involved.Hell being in the Dallas area, I wouldnt mind swinging bye and take a look? Im actually curious..lol
