Sound dampining

I'm looking to mat my front two doors and the little suacide doors and the back wall up to the glass and the floor ( under the carpet the floor is raised to allow for drain plugs and for tire jack etc. ) allows lots of noise in the truck. looking for a CHEAP mat that works pretty well. Any idea on how much I need? I need to get rid of road noise thats all. body panel flex is a little much on the back wall but that can be delt with later. I need the truck to be a little more quiet. any ideas?

Follow the link. In the end you will be glad you did, you will learn a lot and save money doing it.

Don is a great guy that if you have additional questions just PM or give him a call.

I received a sample pack of his products today. Best stuff I have seen. I have used Dynamat, Cascade, SS, Raammatt and many others-from liquid to mat, ensolite, MLV and ton of other stuff from FoxPro just trying out a ton of products most will never see.

Don's products are among the best on the market and better price/performance ratio that anything on the market currently.

i wanted to save a little money and some on weight, i'm going with Second Skin Damplifier Lite. Mine should be in later this week.
according to ant this stuff was only put on the market to compete with the cheap brands that people always seem to try out first. i was told to stick to regular damp or pro and i went with the pro.

Care to chime in with your knowledge.

BTW I just received the sample pack also and i'm thoroughly impressed with the products especially with the foil on the CLD tiles.

I'll order some eventually for my gf's car.

I don't generally comment when specific brands are being discussed. Since lovindabass specifically said he is trying to block noise I will say that the vibration dampers being discussed here are only the first step toward that goal - a very important first step, but incomplete by itself. To block sound you need to install a barrier layer. You could do this with 5 or 6 layers of vibration damper but it is easier and much cheaper to use vibration damper for what it was designed to do and then line the thing with mass loaded vinyl or something similar.

I think Ant was referring to the products being discussed. If you get a mat with butyl adhesive and an aluminum foil, any of the choices should be good.

this is going to be dumb Q:
how do you order CLD Tile from http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com ??
Not a dumb question at all since there isn't a shopping cart. E-mail me with what you need and a city and zip for shipping: don@sounddeadenershowdown.com. If you're not sure what you need, let me know what you are trying to accomplish and I'll help you figure it out.

Thanks for asking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
