my parents live in galesburg.. it's about an hour south of the quad cities, so probably about 2 hours from Rockford (I had a gf at northern and that's about as long as it took to get there from home)

Just because a company doesn't custom tool all of their parts, it certainly does not make them "low end".
It's common knowledge that the SS drivers are slightly modified TC Sounds drivers...who are very prominent in the industry as far as a buildhouse, and they build the subwoofers for many mainstream companies (who also use TC Sounds "standard" line of drivers), such as Eclipse.

Ask anybody who's had experience with them......the TC2+ (Rl-i) and TC9 (Rl-p) and very nice drivers, both in sound quality and output potential.

Calling them lowend, or the practice of using a buildhouses pre-designed and proven subwoofer products "lowend" is assinine.

This is the end of the thread, squeak said it perfect. I am not going to sit here and let false info be left active on a board like this. More so when it is about a one man company that has some of the best product and customer service in the industry.
