But here's the deal, I bet he's 100% true. Most smaller companies cannot afford to do custom tooling, which can lead literally into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Most smaller ?(just starting) companies will use a motor and basket that has already been tooled up, and create 'soft parts' and a dust cap with their own logo's. It's nothing out of the norm really, you see it happen everyday.

Its called bussiness. Things you buy daily were not manufactured from the name of the product but instead manufactured by outsourced companies. To me it doesn't matter who makes the stuff...If it's good it's good.

This is why narrow minded people shouldn't talk when they've probably never used the product.

What companies do you speak of that are here today/gone tomorrow? I mean a lot of the more popular online brands, RE, Adire, SI, SS, ED have all been around anywhere from 1-4 years. They have products that are IMO of the same or better quality than most brands you just listed as those companies keep using cheaper material's and build quality(at least in my last 5 run in's with kicker, rf and pioneer) and charge more.

When I had my Jimmy and a more SQL setup most of my friends were mainstream rider's like you and they seemed to get the reality that it doesn't have to be stamped by JL to be awesome. Or kicker or RF or Pioneer for that matter.

The day that these so called here today/gone tomorrow companies get rid of a lower cost alternative, that is the day they could go belly up. By that time however, I'd imagine the majority of the companies who charge that much, will have the reasoning/technology to do so.

Sure there is a reason, it is because mainstream ppl like you do not and will not try anything that does not have a big name on the product. You will pay it, so they will be glad to charge you out the *** for it.

Some ppl say they ****, I dont they are fine but not for me I would rather save my $100 for a product that is about the same if not a little better to MY ears.

x2 on advertising also is a big part.

There are lots of subs cheaper than the W7 that are just as good if not better.

And to answer your question, based on specs the nex XXX should chit on it many times over.
