How the hell do you program a Keyless entry remote? If the idiot at chevy can do it I can too. Any Ideas? Thanks

i may be mistaken, but i think you put the key in the ignition and turn it to acc and back off till the locks lock and then unlock. then, you hit a button on the remote and it ought to recognize it.

i dont know if thatll work, but thats how some cars do it.

I could But I don't wanna. ItSeems as if it would be easy as a sequence (SP?) of buttons. I guess if no one knows I can but I would rather try to figure this one out...Could be fun lol..

Transmitter Programming:

1)With the driver door closed, hold down the power unlock button on the door panel.

2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

3)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

4)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

5)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

6)Release the power unlock button on the door panel.

The remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that the receiver is in the programming mode:

6.1)Locking the doors

6.2)Unlocking the doors

IMPORTANT:

All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed it will deactivate the old transmitters.

7)Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter until the remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner:

7.1)Locking the doors

7.2)Unlocking the doors

Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter

9) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

thats what i had to go to the dealership today for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. i know 98+ chryslers have to be programmed by the dealer. but i did program my old camaro one.

do you have a new transmitter or did the batteries just die? If its new then you have to go to a dealership and have them do it with the scanner, if its just dead batteries try this

Press the LOCK and the UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 7 seconds .

The receiver will acknowledge resynchronization in the following manner:

If all of the doors are locked, the receiver will unlock and lock all of the doors except the driver door.

If all of the doors are unlocked, the receiver will lock all of the doors.
