i had the amp that puts out twice the power of that and only got 800w out of it wired at 1ohm, that was the 1005, i can only imagine how little power is coming out of the 605...

Probably didn't help that alpine doesn't list it as 1 ohm stable and that its power rating is at 2 ohms.

and Joe, those are good amps I've done a couple 605's for customers and they sound great. We even put one on 2 kicker L515's. Should run your sub just fine

i think i figured out what size box i need. I did some calculations for a sealed square box. I need 2 cu. ft. The dimensions i came out with wereExternal:

13" H x 18.5" W x 20" D

and internal:

11.5" H x 17" W x 18.5 D

this is using 3/4 mdf.

Does this seem righT?

i am right, hasnt anyone ever heard of impedence rise? it never actually saw 1ohm it saw 2.7. Just b/c an amp isnt one ohm stable doesnt mean you cant run it at one ohm. I run my viper at 1 ohm all day and it loves it. The alpine amp wired to 2ohms puts out 600 watts, its been tested more then one time its a proven fact, so everyone needs to stop looking at paper and test it themselves before you keep trying to discredit me.

I get 2.09 cubic feet from those dimensions, but that's not taking subwoofer displacement into account. You're going to need to heavily stuff that box to make up for the basket/motor displacement...

yeah i got 2.09 but what would i need so i jus have a box. Or wat kind of stuff do i use, polyfil?

**edit** im stilll in hs and i failed a class for my first time ever. Math junior year. Im still convinced it was my teacher tha was shitty and not me
