Soft Bass?

Ok, are you the kind of people that likes full blast bass, that kicks you in the face everytime it punds and makes your hole body rattle? Well I am not...

I have a diamond D3 10" Sub in a Sealed Box, and I am looking for nice bass speaker, something like a home audio sub, that pounds but its really really soft and balanced not "raspy" like other subs. I don't want a sub that hits hard just something that goes in level with the music...

What do I have to buy to get this.... I have all the system I just need sub that fits the above bill....

What I mean is that I am looking for the kind of bass that generates a 6.5 speaker, very soft very nice and not loud at all.... I just need a dedicated more powerfull speaker for this.

What kind of box is that D3 in?

If you are running ported, tune lower. If you are running sealed, try making a bigger box.

If its too loud, turn it down?

lower the gains on your amp

x2...i have a type r tuned to 30hz....i just lowered the gains so it doesnt overpower my comps so the sub and comps go together making sure one doesnt over power one another...maybe lower gains will be the best thing u can do...not too sure though

sorry to bring up an old post, but why don't you just get a really good set of dash speakers? you say you want the bass from like a 6.5 speaker, so why don't you just buy some really good rear dash speakers?

that's the kind of bass my back speakers put out, and those are the only 2 speakers i have hooked up right now

Midbass my friend. A set of mid bass drivers would yield the sound you are looking for.
