Does anyone know what size, how many, and how long aero ports i need in a 2.5 ft^3 box tuned in the low to mid 30's for a 10" soloX? If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. would like to get this box done by the weekend. Thanks!

Thomas

i'll fire up bass box pro and i can get you a rough idea of how long the ports should be... you ever used that program? if not and are interested, pm me and maybe I can share it with you.

if you have max dimensions to work with i can probably have something ready for you in about 5 minutes.

you are really limited because of your box size. if you used two four inch aero's you would need them to be longer than possible. if you used one four inch aero then its not really enough for the sub imho.

one 4" aero roughly 13 inches long gives you about 30.xx HZ. This is assuming the box is about 2.8 cubes before displacement, to accomodate for the subtraction of airspace for not only the port but also the rather large motor mass of the sub.

edit, i see you want low to mid 30's, make the port 10" long and it ups it to ~33hz. the box dimensions I am using are just stuff I threw in to get the desired box size, which is 16x20x20 to get 2.872ft^3, and .2ft^3 for motor size, with 10" long port for 32.95hz.
