okay so the 4 skars will eventually be reality //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Got a Powerbass XA3000D. i was reading how they really hat vibration. mounting onto the box was NOT an option at all. Not worth it to me. so i drew up a new design. went with a fairly larger enclosure to reduce the spike before the cutoff. 4.75ft^3 @ 30hz Box will have quite an organic flush mount kind of look to it. should be killer once all said and done. also .5" all thread will be used for bracing to reduce and possibility of flex on the lower notes. Due to space restrictions in an extended cab Im going with a custom shelving unit under the the box that is a separate unit secured by the OEM jumpseat bolt locations-8 total. I do not want this moving around haha.

notice the small gap on the left, that is for my jack tire iron etc. above that is where the powerbass will be. to the right of the hump cutout will be the deka group 31, then the space on the far right is where the rockford 2ch will go.

so decided to scratch the 4 10" idea for now and focus more on the front stage...

I ordered 6 6.5" pyle pro audio mids and 4 vifa tweeters. will be ran active with a crossfire x-over on a exile audio 800.4

yes, fiberglass door pods are in the works.

got the mids and tweets in. i must say, i truly under estimated the build quality of the mids. for 10.45 a piece i was not expecting much but ****! I MUST SAY build quality is outstanding! coming from china i expected to see chipped ferrite, sloppy glue iffy tripple joint etc. well no. thats not the case. everything is perfect all the way down to the dang dustcap. +1 for pyle. oh and i tested one and it sounds GREAT! Now the tweeters i didnt expect much either. they are very nice indeed! I was going for as chepa as possible active front stage for others to follow. it should turn out amazing in the end! now the fun part of fitting three 6.5's in the door of a ranger! BWAHAHAHAHA! might have to go with two! here are pics:

Free glassing products are always win! I like this filler also. No need for heavy when doing pods

Cool man.i'm trying to finish by mid Nov. If all goes well. The tweets are going on axis in the pillars. They are pretty warm little guys.not harsh at all. Hence on axis.

and it will be active. so full range signal from ym hu into a electronic crossover, then front/high into the front 2 channel on my 2ch amp set to full on the eq for those two channels. then the rear/mid rca to the last two channel inputs on ym 4ch amp with the eq set to bandpass. the electronic eq does all the eq-ing to my preferences. now as far as wiring the speakers, the mids and tweeters, the three mids per door will be wired in parallel for a 2.67ohm load per side. then the tweeters will be wired in parallel per pillar for a 4ohm load. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif so approx 60rms per mid and 55rms per tweeter. should scream!
