Just an idea, the battery that failed on me was less that a year old and it was a regular liquid lead acid. Just with the HU symptom and the power wiring being a bit broken in the amp terminals kinda reminded me of the issue ur having. I'd still get it tested somewhere tho, i read quite a bit about defective stuff in the car audio industry so ya never know. Especially if you've already gone through everything else.I would hope my XS power is not the issue, its about 7 months old. New HO alt is about 5 months old and just recently started pushing power to it as I finally dropped my Sundown x10 in it. I had the issue with the SD-10 on 600rms. I guess I could always clean the battery terminals, I did spray some red sticky crap over the terminals to prevent battery buildup (no terminal buildup atm).
Edit: The HO Alternator could even be masking an issue of a bad battery... But i admit to having no experience with those type of batteries... It's even possible to damage a battery hooking terminals up if you bent it tightening it up it's possible to break some of the connections to the plates inside, i Kno that's possible with lead acid batteries...
