So frustrating! (mids amp issue)

I would hope my XS power is not the issue, its about 7 months old. New HO alt is about 5 months old and just recently started pushing power to it as I finally dropped my Sundown x10 in it. I had the issue with the SD-10 on 600rms. I guess I could always clean the battery terminals, I did spray some red sticky crap over the terminals to prevent battery buildup (no terminal buildup atm).
Just an idea, the battery that failed on me was less that a year old and it was a regular liquid lead acid. Just with the HU symptom and the power wiring being a bit broken in the amp terminals kinda reminded me of the issue ur having. I'd still get it tested somewhere tho, i read quite a bit about defective stuff in the car audio industry so ya never know. Especially if you've already gone through everything else.

Edit: The HO Alternator could even be masking an issue of a bad battery... But i admit to having no experience with those type of batteries... It's even possible to damage a battery hooking terminals up if you bent it tightening it up it's possible to break some of the connections to the plates inside, i Kno that's possible with lead acid batteries...

Good looking out, I'll get it tested. At this point I'm willing to rotate 3 tires during a solar eclipse in hopes that it fixes the issue lol.

What type of HO alt? I'm saving up for a singer 250a hairpin. These guys in the forums saved me from a "HO" eBay alt lol... I'm in the middle of my own build right now... Putting the box together by the end of the day i hope.

I purchased from SounDriv, its a Mechman 270, I believe it was 399.00 shipped (without belt).
Right on, i ha a bit of a hard time finding anything 200a plus for my caravan... Everything was between $450 n $550, but the singer seems like it will be my best option as it's the only hairpin under $500 n i would prefer the higher amps at idle. I got bad valve guide seal tho so after i finish my 2x 18"s build I'm gonna rebuild the heads before anything else... Good luck figuring out ur issue. I know it ***** bad when your system aint sounding right...
