Cut enough plastic out in my s10 dash speaker holes to fit a 6.5 in instead of the factory 4x6. Tested fit w a mb quart 6.5 mid I had and was just a quarter inch too high at 2.5 depth, so I know it will work and still fit under factory hole cover on dash.

I'm more into a bright, detailed sound and will be running separate active dedicated midbass in 80-150 hz range in rear beside sub box so don't need a low fs driver for that purpose. Xover point b about 150 hz so something that excels in 150- 5k range and would like to keep the same brand tweeters in the same voice. Knowing me id probably b happiest w horn tweeters as I keep pushing reg tweeters to death. I love my loud guitar solos and cymbal crashes!!
So far, the prv 6.5 shallow that handles 250 RMS looks good to me as well as the infinite reference line too. I know both make great tweets that would voice well w the mids but would rather go w the prv or something that handles power and gets loud. Was really wanting to do the Orion 6.5s but depth is just a lil too much

It sounds like you've done some great work with your S10 and are looking for suggestions! If you have specific questions or need assistance with something particular, feel free to ask!
