skar question.

yeah' date=' i cant get too technical on the box either, as i'm building under the supervision of a average joe woodshop techer. hoping to maybe fit 4.5 cubes ported to 28 hz. before subs and bracing. but idk, i'm leaning more toward a single larger sub setup, maybe used.[/quote']

PM Ram Designs, give him the max dims you can use, info on your sub, and like 5 or 10 bucks and hell design you one. cut sheet included

not gonna lie' date=' i lol'd. but on the ssa's can they get 27hz low at close the same output as higher notes? i like the specs& price though. moneys coming in monday so i gotta choose soon, lol.[/quote']

I've played with the Dcons quite a bit. They are nice. Musical, and dependent on the application, can get up to 100hz or down to 28-30hz without any major problems. Obviously the sound became more localized at the higher frequencies, though. That's why many choose to x-over @ 80hz or less. You can feed them 400-500ish or so rms pretty safely if you are RESPONSIBLE about it.

15" Icon or Xcon come to mind. As does the Fi BL and Q. Just a few forum-friendly options. Many people also seem to enjoy the IXL, but I don't have enough insight on it personally to guarantee the results you want.

I still see NO problem with the Skars. But, other options are good to have regardless.

oh dang, ihad tottaly forgotten about fi, i know they're x series is very well priced, i figured it out and i have a budget of 220 shipped. would any of the bl series be around that?

dang' date=' that *****, haha. seems everything but the x is out of my range. this may help...it's going to be run off of a hifonics HFi1000at 1/2 ohms depending on the woofer. in the right enclosure could a lv 3 15 take all 850-1000 watts this thing put s out at 1 ohm?[/quote']

Yes, it could. But know that the Level 3's are more geared towards sealed enclosures than its other DC brethren.

LOL which is kinda funny never heard the 15" model before only the 10". I like Jacob and price per performance is pretty **** good IMO. Plus I gotta counter act Skardbb with his buy Scar rampage.
Check out IA they have some nice equipment for good prices.
It's just amusing how you recommend SA whenever he recommends Skar. Keeps it interesting!

And yes, IA does make some nice equipment, however, pricing may be the issue.

Gotta stay one step ahead of him at all times lol. Jacob good guy. Skar's owner from what I have been told is a big POS. SA is the original. Skar just a knock off with a lower FS. Sundown will be around for a long time. Skar forgotten within a year. Would I ever run either one of them NO. I would run a nightshade though.
