What do you want to know? I usually start by stretching some fabric over where I want to glass, staple it, then lather with resin. I used to use paint brushes to apply it, but it ruins the brush each time. Buying new brushes got expensive, so I got a genius idea....

You can add as many layers as you want with actual glass mesh/mat for strength

Your #1 fan will be watching for these pics to pop up. Yes I see a smear fest coming
I've gotten enough hate, it doesn't affect me as much anymore. I won't ever meet 99%

I don't know who you're talking about as my number one fan. I've got a whole fan club

Glassing the box is easy, and you'll get a weird high for the next week while you're driving your truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Just slather the inside with resin.

What's your bracing like? I forget

You need brushes man ?? I can hook you up with a bunch. Let me know man
Sure, we could probably both use them! Are you a brush dealer??

Woah, you need a lot more than that....

I've got like 5 1" threaded steel pipes and three 2x4's, and my box isn't as big as yours........

Add more bracing and resin it to seal tiny gaps, plus add a bit of strength before you scrap it.

I know how it was though. You get really excited about it and feel like you need to rush when you finally do have time to work on it. If anybody understands that, it's me.

No lol. But I can get you some, let me know when you need them.
Gotcha, thanks

Ill have to take pics of it all and get ideas to brace it.

Its fuken annoying having to remove my passenger seat, then unscrewing the sub i use the hole as an entry point.

Just getting the sub back in and screwing it is near impossible haha..

On top of that, the outside of the box needs to be sealed..

Ill just ship my truck to you so you can do it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Definitely take some pics. I've got some pipe left over, haha

You can't move the seats forwards enough to get the subs out?

I'd do it for free if I could get a discount on those Z's.......

With the seat fully tilted forward and pushed all the way forward i have about 7-8in of space.

This still doesnt give me space to crawl into the box.

Maaaaan I just read the whole thread from start to finish and its a soap opera on its own. Haha. I'll say great job from start to finish on your build. You seemed to have learned from all this and added to what you already knew. ( which seemed like quite a bit for your aga so bravo on that). I have dealt with murph before so I feel your pain. The build looks great especially for it being your first built this size. Great job and I hope you can get the proper soft parts from DD to get those bad boys properly reconed as well. My first recone was recently a sundown zv4 and I actually messed up on the shim as well ended up with coil rub at high excursion, although your issue was more of someone giving you inproper coil size. But thats how this expensive hobby is man, trial and error from which you learn, gain experience, and move forward. After watching this build it makes me want to get an s10 with ext cab sooner than I was planning to (mid next year) and start my own build in which I plan on setting up a wall for 2 15"s or 4 12"s (after adding rear view camera to see while in reverse). Great job with it all and hope all goes well on this build in the future

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I've got sort of a love-hate relationship with most of the members on here, haha

Thinking about doing 3 18's in a blowthrough on 15k of Korean power next

I'll be looking for your build log!

Yes, partially covered by the seat. Can't be avoided because of my space restrictions, and I don't have short legs. I'm nt going to drive like a grandma so my port isn't obstructed. I'll just let people sit on the driver's side for demos until I re-do it
Yes, that's how my car was loudest in the passenger seat. Passenger window up, driver's side down. It's not too loud like this in my truck, unfortunately. I'd planned it to be that way, but it didn't work out. If I meter, I'll put the driver's seat down and forwards

Depends on the song. Higher frequency stuff is louder with both windows down. Low frequencies are loudest sealed.
I need to get my Sierra with my 8's metered I know windows down = FLEX lol windows up is lame and I'm tuned at 33hz

It's an 07 and he just has to get his wife's approval, so you can suck my ass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Lol someday you might be married and realize anything that involves that much money will be a problem in her eyes lol I just buy my gear and tell her about it later.... It's easier that way
