should i upgrade?

Hey guys I was wondering if its worth it to upgrade from Kicker CVR10's to the CVX10's. B4 I had the cvr's running off an alpine MRD-M605 and now I got the PDX-1.1000. Will it make a big difference in spl if I move up to the CVX?

2 cvr's in a sealed box, they're 400rms each.

get a new box for them. it will make a huge difference, and cost less than a new amp.

I already havea good amp, i wanted to upgrade the subs. Would a new box reallly make taht much of a difference? I bought mine from audiooutfitter back in 06, its made to fit under the rear seat of my titan. I wasnt able to find my receipt so im not too sure of the specs.

oops. that's what i meant. lol. but if it's a prefab sealed box, going with a custom made ported box will make a pretty big difference. plus if you get new subs, they will want more power and probably have different enclosure recommendations. you should check into what those subs need for a ported enclosure and see if you can get one made for your truck.

What size is your sealed box? The CVX's will perform better in a smaller box than the CVR's...

You can expect better SQ upgrading to the CVX's, but there are a lot of variables to consider before determining which would be louder off of 1000W.

A new, properly built box will make a night and day difference.

someone here can build you one. there are a bunch of guys that do great work. and even try the cvrs first in a new box.

yes usually 2x the size of a seald box.
