MY warrior is a 95 and im looking for about the same year banshee, id take a blaster too but id want money with it or it would have to have some money in it.
I might be alone in this but here is a few thoughts:
I never once heard the Suzuki Z400 or 450R get mentioned which is odd. I have the Z400 and love every inch of it. Their biggest drawback is the rare need for valve adjustment and that is only when ridden too hard for too long.
I have also owned 2 strokers and several other 4 strokes.
I ran a small but worked up and surprisingly fast Honda 300ex set for trail racing,
A Kawasaki KFX400,which is powered by Suzuki,A Warrior,Blaster and just today hopped on a 660raptor with endless mods.
My experience, personally: The Z400(stock for now) I own right now takes the cake. I can outrun Honda's 450R in mid/top end and even the Raptor I rode today wasn't enough to convince me I'd rather have it(although it is a great ride)
Sure,it was faster at top end but it took forever to wind it out and there just wasn't enough extra power for the extra 260+/- cc engine to make it worth it for a hard to trail ride machine
To get back on topic, any reputable 2 stroke is a fun ride so long as you don't plan on lugging it or constantly hitting steep climbs.
For what amount of riding you submitted,I'd say a 2 stroke or a Suzki400/Honda 400ex would get you the most for your money.
BTW,getting a Suzuki 400will allow room for immense modification. They are moderately cheap to bulk up to and above the limits of any current 450R breeds out there...for cheaper than buying a stock 450R of nearly any model.
