Should I see twelve volts?

Hi everyone!

Now that I know how to put a picture up here I can finally ask my question so that everyone that knows will understand easly!

So I"m trying to figure out if my set up is good. But what I would really like to know is that as you can see on the pictures I have a DMM and I would like to know if i'm suppose to read 12 Volts.

The red probe is after an inline 1 amp fuse on the factory radio red +12 Volts ignition red wire and the black probe is on a bolt that is fixed to the chassis.

Thanks , I really need to know that! So here is the picture....

Depends. If its an acc 12v not unless the key is turned to acc or on. If its a constant 12v such as a memory wire. Yes at all times.
Sorry forgot to mention, yes the key is in and turn to accessory ( I actually try with the truck running). So I should see 12 volts?!

i see you got the unit working? how did you end up wiring it up?
Ok, so I finally figured it out! I know it might make me look "let's just say noob" but I thought I would share what my problem was. The simple problem was that I didn't know that you could remove the little terminal boxes (speakers input, +12V, ground, remote, etc). The box where the +12V is wasn't all the way in.

But I still had to use a "add-a-fuse" from my fuse box wich I had to modified a little bit. Now I can see the most beautiful little power led I have ever seen.

Next, it will be the amp install. Maybe in a couple of days... too cold up here!

Talk to yall next time for my next problems to come.

Ciao
