Remote wire issues

My remote wire will not turn on my amp. My wires are installed correctly but the only time the amp turns on is when I get a little wire and attach it to the power channel on my amp and touch it to the remote but no sound comes out even when I do that. The big fuse on my power wire isn't burnt out but it has a few burn marks on it and doesn't look to be in amazing shape could this be an issue? I tested the amp and it works so it's definitely my wiring. I have a pioneer deck in a 2001 vw gti it has the monsoon amp in it still can this also be a problem? Any suggestions would be help. Take pictures of your wiring for us.

Chances are your remote is wrong

Ok I just put a new fuse in by the battery and it now works. Only problem is while it was hitting my window fell off its track lol
