Should I recone alpine swr 1241d?

Ok so I have a alpine 1241d sub I got from pick and pull. I was wondering if it would be worth the money and effort to recone the old sub or should I move on. I know for the price of the recone I could get a new sub that could handle the same power or more. But I was thinking since it's a older sub would people think it's a keeper or not
