Should I listen: Arc Audio System vs eD System

yea i know but its cheaper for the company, therefore cheaper for the consumer. unless the company is a jerk and charges the same price.

iguess lol

No one company "makes everything good?"
Give me the cash, and I could put together one helluva an Eclipse system from deck to sub to amps to components.

Thats right, no mfg makes the best of every component. Thats why most people who demand the best quality use components from a wide array of mfgs.

I understand that but the point is is that if they ship work over there and put people here out of work, then who is going to be able to afford the shit.?? See what I mean.??
There will still be people in the US with jobs who will and can afford the product. Until the US starts increasing duties on more stuff coming in, this is how it is going to work. I remember seeing an article a couple of years ago saying ALpine was moving amp manufacturing from California to Mexico so it isn't just Asian countries doing the work.

In general, the American consumer is much more concerned with price than where the product is made. I think the only part of my system made in the US is the 12W6V2(I believe that is made here).

I'm sorry guys, all in all I'm just ranting and threadjacking at the same time. But you're right Civic, if the gov't would start putting tarriffs on shit thats outsourced it would put a "slow down" on some of it.

You're right but guess what else gets cheap in the process??? The quality.
yup! i know. but i guess some korean buildhouses are pretty good at what they do. i mean the ARC engineer in taiwan is great (or so im told) lol i mean just cuz its made in the USA doesnt mean its top quailty. it can definitely but a + in marketing though.

There might already be tariffs on the product. If there is, they are probably low enough to still justify the overseas manufacturing. I used to work for a US Customs broker, and I remember when NAFTA went into effect. I always thought it would hurt US Manufacturing jobs. It did, and now overseas manufacturing is hurting it even worse.

Again though, how many US consumers want to pay the higher prices, even if it means US jobs.

I totally agree, back in the 70s and early 80s GM, Ford and Chrysler put out alot of shitty quality cars and the Japanese companies took full advantage of this and won alot of consumer confidence in the process.

lol my econ teacher

he like totally despises walmart.
