Should I just add an MS-8 JBL to the current ML?

It will tune it right. It might cut the sub down to balance it if it has to. But that's what it supposed to do. The sub stage will be about 6db hot with the mid range being the base line.

the ML system is specifically tuned for that vehicle already. changing one part may have a negative effect on other parts. it's also likely the ML system has better amplifiers than what is in the MS-8.

At this point, I am just adding the sub. All the shops say an upgrade to the ML system is going to cost a ton of money because of all the labor, even without the speakers. I'm thinking that I may just get two sets of components next year when I have a little more money. Then just swap the fronts and rears out and unplug the rest of the stock speakers
